How do we collect personal information about you?
We obtain personal information about you that you provide to us through our website, emails, phone conversations, documents you provide to us.
We have broken up different stages of the process to clearly explain when, how and why we keep data.
Sales
Data retained- Names , contact details and search requirements-
Legal basis- Legitimate interest in providing property details as requested by the buyer and fulfilling our contract with our vendors.
Shared with- Data shared with software provider 10ninety Ltd, staff and vendors.
Duration- Buyers data kept for upto 12 months-to be able to keep buyers informed of new properties that become available.
Withdrawn immediately buyers no longer wish to be kept upto date (unless you have viewed a property).
If you have viewed a property, we will retain your information for 6 months from the date of the viewing. This is to provide our vendor with details of historic viewings and alert you to any material changes to the property that you have viewed.
Use of data- We will use your data only to keep you informed of suitable properties for sale and inform our vendors of your situation.
Sale agreed (buyers)
Data retained- As per buyers registration plus ID and proof of address, solicitors details, Mortgage details, chain details of related sale.
Legal basis-Contractual and legal requirement (anti money laundering requirements).
Shared with-Staff, software provider 10ninety Ltd, buyers, Creditsafe and related parties involved in any chain.
Duration- 6 Years from sale or ending of the contract (whichever is the later).
Use of data-Your data is used to fulfil our contract with our vendor and aid their sale, comply with TPO rules and comply with HMRC anti money laundering regulations.
Referrals
You may also request that we refer your details to our partners which include Mortgages, Conveyancing and surveyors services. At that time, we will pass contact details onto them, along with details of your purchase/sale.
These providers will have their own privacy rules and should provide a copy to you.
We will never pass on your details without your specific request to do so.
Who else has access to information?
We will never sell or rent your information to third parties.
We may disclose your personal information to our insurers and professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice and managing legal disputes.
